Woodlore Sustainability Plan 2030

Updated: Jul 29

As a Canadian brand, Woodlore is deeply committed to minimizing the environmental impact of our product design and manufacturing processes. We are equally focused on the content and recyclability of our packaging materials. Woodlore operates in full compliance with the most stringent environmental standards set by government agencies across Canada and the United States. These standards are posted and readily available to any team member upon request. We actively support and encourage our employees to go beyond compliance, fostering a culture of leadership in environmental responsibility.

Today at the Woodlore manufacturing facility, we recycle 98% of our scrap wood, 100% of our cardboard, and 100% of our steel and aluminum. These materials are responsibly collected and sent to certified recycling partners for reuse in new applications. Our shipping cartons are made with the highest possible recycled fiber content. For major project installations, we remove and recycle all packaging materials, and wherever possible, we ship products in bulk to minimize packaging waste. Within our facility, a comprehensive Blue Box program ensures that all recyclable materials are properly sorted and diverted from landfills. [DOWNLOAD THE WOODLORE SUSTAINABILITY PLAN 2030]

Woodlore is also committed to supporting the indoor air quality and overall home or office environments of our clients. All adhesives used in our manufacturing are water-based or non-solvent dispersed to reduce VOC (volatile organic compound) emissions.

We also prioritize minimizing formaldehyde emissions by using wood and wood-based materials with negligible emissions, and by sealing all finished products to further reduce any impact.
